EMBEDDED YOUTUBE VIDEOS

Some pages, including the Videos page, contain our own videos, which are hosted on YouTube (a Google service) and embedded using YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode. Nothing is loaded from YouTube until you click the “Play video” button shown with each video.

By clicking “Play video”, you consent to that video being loaded from YouTube and to YouTube and Google setting cookies on your device and collecting information such as your IP address, details of your device and browser, and how you interact with the video. We rely on that consent under PECR and, where personal data is shared with YouTube, under Article 6(1)(a) UK GDPR. Your consent applies only to that video on that occasion, and you can withdraw it at any time by deleting the relevant cookies through your browser settings.

When a video is loaded, YouTube and Google currently set the following. They may change these without notice.

It should be read together with our Privacy Notice, which explains how we process personal data, who we share it with, any transfers of personal data outside the UK and your rights, including your right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

WHAT ARE COOKIES

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website.

They may be ‘session cookies’, which expire when you close your browser, or ‘persistent cookies’, which remain on your device for a set period or until you delete them.

Similar technologies, such as local storage, session storage and IndexedDB, store or access information on your device in a comparable way. References in this Cookie Policy to cookies include them.

HOW WE USE COOKIES

We use cookies only to operate, secure and maintain the Website. We do not use them for advertising, behavioural or cross-site tracking, or profiling, and we do not deploy third-party analytics or marketing cookies.

Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR), as amended by the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025, the cookies listed in the table below do not require your consent. All but one are strictly necessary to provide the Website you have requested, including for security, preventing fraud and abuse, and detecting technical faults; they are set automatically and cannot be switched off through our cookie banner. The exception, bSession, is used solely for statistical purposes to maintain and improve the Website, and you can object to it at any time (see Managing Cookies below). Where any of these cookies involves personal data, such as a session identifier, we rely on our legitimate interests in operating a secure, functioning and effective Website (Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR).

The only cookies that require your consent are those set by YouTube and Google if you choose to play one of our embedded videos (see Embedded YouTube Videos below).

COOKIES WE USE

The Website is hosted on Wix, which acts as our data processor. The cookies below are all first-party cookies, set on the Website’s own domain by Wix (including Cloudflare, which Wix uses to protect and deliver the Website) or, for the CookieYes entry, by our consent management tool, CookieYes. None of them is used for advertising, profiling or cross-site tracking.
